Mrs Marjaana Alaviuhkola, President of the UET reported on the influence of the war in Ukraine and the increase of prices of fuel, forage and straw putting the industry in a difficult situation particularly after the Covid crisis. She enhanced the importance to lobby the European institutions to inform decision makers about the situation and work on future legislations on transport and welfare together with the European Horse Network.
UET members adapted their by-laws and International Agreement to put the welfare of the horse first in all activities.
