Society’s demands are increasing and call into question many practices involving horses threatening the industry’s social licence to operate. Public outcries and controversies primarily target the suffering that horses experience through their exploitation, as well as industry-related environmental damage.

Roly Owers, Executive Director of the World Horse Welfare will examine the social license of the sport and Ruth Dancer, Director of White Griffin, will consider the impact of climate change on horseracing operations and how the sport can build a more sustainable future.
