What activities will you organise to motivate the interest and involvement of members in 2025?

KJ: I think we have very solid topics for activities on our agenda, as we decided and publicized for 2025 coming out of our Sapporo meetings (e.g. enhancing global betting pools and innovative offerings, pari-mutuel sports pools operator diversification progress, ongoing legal/regulatory efforts around illegal wagering challenges, adding concepts to broaden/grow via diversity of our audience). Now we need to put WoTA and member operators in a better position to execute with increased participation to show the opportunities available to members through cooperation across WoTA.
FS: I agree with KJ above, we need to emphasize the need for joint collaboration as far as possible, to ensure that our pool liquidity are increasingly larger, for the benefit of our members. This therefore speaks to how we structure the projects and beneficial outcomes for WoTA members which will be a focus for 2025/26.
What are the events in 2025 where you will meet the members?
KJ: Subject to the diary changing, I am boldly aiming to attend Pegasus World Cup, Preakness Stakes, Elitloppet, Royal Ascot, Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, British Champions Day (Ascot), Breeders Cup, Melbourne Cup, and the Summer Cup in Turffontein where the WoTA Forum will also be held
FS: I will be at Royal Ascot and possibly the Breeders Cup. I will of course definitely be at the Summer Cup and look forward to welcoming many of WoTA’s members for what we hope will be the biggest Forum yet!
